Insurance or Self Pay?

Our work together will be the same regardless of which you choose.

Utilizing insurance may allow for a portion of the cost of sessions to be covered by your plan. In some cases, you will be responsible for the full cost of the session if you have a high deductible plan or if you exhaust your benefits. In order to bill insurance, I will need to submit a diagnosis that is considered “medically necessary” by your insurance company, and our work together will be accessible to the insurance company and potentially subject to an audit to confirm medical necessity. There may be a limited number of sessions your plan allows per calendar year, or in total. Please check with your insurance company to confirm any limitations to mental/behavioral health benefits.

Self pay allows clients to schedule sessions on their terms and no formal diagnosis is required, though we will work with any prior formal diagnosis as appropriate.

I am an in network provider for most major insurance companies, with the exception of MaineCare and Medicare. Please check with your insurance company to confirm your coverage and whether or not I am in network with your plan.

If I do not accept your insurance plan you may be able to take advantage of out-of-network benefits, which can be confirmed with your insurance company.

If not billing insurance, my self pay fee is $100.00-150.00 per 45-60 minute session. Please note, I require 24 hour notice for non-emergency cancellations. Without notice, clients will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, regardless of insurance coverage or self pay arrangement.

Payment is accepted in the form of cash, personal check, or credit card, and is due at the end of each session.
